My name is Cortney Penny, I am a freshman at NC State University in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I was selected to be part of a groupwith the chance to study abroad in London, Cardiff, and Edinburg! With this program I will be able to meet other Animal Science majors from across the globe as well as have a chance to study farm management practices in the UK. A few things planned for the trip are farm visits to learn about their agriculture production and management, visiting the famous St. Andrews Golf Course and learning about their turf management, and getting a chance to interact with students from Harper Adams University and discuss educational opportunities, business ventures, and job opportunities. This trip will allow me to learn about European agriculture, animal management, culture, and politics. When I return to the U.S. I plan on using my newfound knowledge to help educate younger generations on the importance of foreign relations and agriculture!
