My Travel Story

by: David Hackett Start Date: Oct 16, 2016 - End Date: Jul 2, 2017
I am 56 years and have never been to a National Sports Card Convention and hopefully I can go in July 2017. I use a power wheelchair for mobility. It is next to impossible to save money when you receive SSDI.
I was born with a disorder called  Boucher Neuhauser syndrome. I wasn't diagnosed untill 1979 because no one knew what it was. When I was diagnosed, I was told there where only about a dozen cases in the world. I'v heard there are maybe 40 cases in the world now.
A little bit about it. My cerrebellum is deteriorating. That controls your equillibreum, coordernation, speech and things like that. I am not able to walk any more, thats why I use a wheelchair.
I have been dealing with sportscards since I was 8-9. I've volenteered to work at many card shops over the years. I've even run a card store for my father and I never took anything for it because I enjoyed doing it.
I have never been to a National Convention.  But I have been told that it should be experianced at least once in a lifetime.
Please help me acomplish this bucket list item.
