Marine Volunteer Gap Year
My Travel Story
My name is Jun and I am a senior in high school in the US. I have been volunteering in my community since 6th grade and I've loved the experience of helping out my community. Since then, I have gotten involved with my local animal shelter and several environmental organizations to help protect the enviroment and the animals who live in it.
I am attempting to raise enough money to travel and volunteer abroad for at least six months, possibly more. I do not know how much exactly that I will need but I am fairly sure that it will be at least several thousand dollars.
I am extremely passionate about conserving the enviroment, especially the ocean and the animals that live in it. I plan on getting a major in oceanography after this gap year. I plan to learn as much as I can about the ocean while volunteering so I can get some experience before I go to college.
