My Travel Story

One of the driving forces behind wanting to do this study abroad program was a quote from the movie, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (if you have not seen it I 10/10 would recommend). The quote is repeated throughout the film to remind us of the importance of travel and adventure and what that means for the human experience.  
"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life." 
I carried this in the back of my mind feeling the weight of those words reminding me, if not now, when? About a week later, a professor came into one of my classes and introduced this amazing opportunity to study abroad in England. I immediately felt a calling to go! I am very passionate about my education and what better place to expand my knowledge and passion for film, literature, and creative writing than at the University of Cambridge?
