Coffee Bay Missions Camp Vision:

“To show the Local people Christ’s love”.

The farm has a long term vision, for mission’s teams to come to, to share Christ’s love in the area. It is a place of fellowship, where we do Missions work in the community with Missions teams coming to visit from all over the World. It’s also a place of rest for Pastors and leaders, and my family.

“Our mission is to”:

Spread Christ’s love throughout the area, through living in Christ’s love with one-another:

“Together, we love God, love His people, live life, and advance His Kingdom”.
Our Aim:
·         To build a Missions camp and place of fellowship, that brings “hope” and is a blessing to Coffee bay.

·         To provide a place of fellowship for the community, as well as weekly connect groups in houses for the community to connect with one-another.

·         To Partner with the local schools and orphanages in Coffee bay, providing them with helpers and teachers to assist the children with education.

·         To see lives restored, bringing hope and practical answers to broken humanity in Coffee bay through Christ’s love.

·         To see people from all walks of life come into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ through walking in relationship with them.

·         To create a community of people who worship God with passion, bringing fresh sounds and new songs to our Creator.

·         To impact children’s lives with Sports development Projects, whilst bringing them into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

·         To pray for people that need healing and Trust in the Lord to heal them.

Our Greatest Current needs are:

-          To welcome teams to Coffee bay to come and help build the Missions camps Church, toilets, showers, kitchens, Bedrooms and Family Chalets.

-          Building Materials and tools.

(Accommodation will be provided in the village of coffee bay in a house suitable for the team, or if the team would like to camp on the farm then Toilets and showers and a kitchen will be available for use on the farm).

-          To show the community love whilst building on the farm, house to house pray and Church services at the peoples homes.

-          To work alongside a few local people on the farm whilst building the farm up and at the same time showing Christs love to the local people.

-          Church service and fellowship on the farm with the local rural community

The people in coffee bay have no water, electricity or toilets. We want to build a Church for the local people to come and enjoy fellowship with one-another. A place where they can get to know the Lord and further more impact their community further. We are working alongside the local schools to improve the education of coffee bay, by providing them with teachers and resources to improve the childrens education. Our aim is to keep children and the youth focused on good education, alongside a stable life in Christ, so they can become something in this life.

 “How the Vision begun”

Mandy (Weschta) Buchan started an Organisation called www.volunteerinsouthafrica.co.uk in 2007, reaching many less privileged children and youth in Muizenberg, Cape town adding Hope and Love into their lives alongside teaching them to surf whilst bringing them closer to the lord. Mandy’s aim was to get the children off the streets of Muizenberg and back into school, followed by the reward of being able to surf daily if they went to school. (with over 500 children still surfing weekly in Muizenberg to this day). Since then Mandy’s Organisation has grown to 6 parts of South Africa and Africa, as well as St francis bay where she runs her personal Ministry called: www.lovetogive.co.za training the community to become leaders within their community. Mandy grew up with her Mom, Denise Poppleton and sister Liza Weschta in Port-elizabeth, Kruersdorp and then Cape town.  She also Grew up in Coffee bay (when visiting her Father), who has a large property on the Bomvu River of Coffee bay, Karl Weschta, Mandys dad was one of the 1st white people to live in Coffee bay amongst the rural African people.  Mandy always had a heart to show the community of Coffee bay Christ’s love (since the age of 21) and since then she has been taking teams to coffee bay to help the community. We have worked alongside the Coffee Bay school and local Orphanage school assisting children in the classrooms and leading sports in the afternoons and bible study, we have also run sports development programs with the children, fellowship Church services with the community, praying for the sick house to house and counciling the people in their rural African huts, blessing the people with food and clothes.  50 youth have given their lives to the Lord so far, so we need to work with those youth and encourage them to help out at our Missions camp Church of fellowship. We also want to continue to work alongside the lost and the broken bringing them into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.  After Mandy praying for a lady that had no eye sight, God healed this lady from no eye sight on that day, and then the Headman of coffee bay offered Mandy Land. The Chief and headman of Coffee bay gave Mandy a Farm to fulfil this purpose. (The farm was given for residential purposes for missions teams to come and stay on and work within the community) whilst impacting the community in the area. The farm was also given for the use of Mandy and her family to build their home.  This year Mandy Married Colin Buchan, who too has a vision to build up the farm and Make it a place of fellowship for the local people and for Missions teams that come from all over the world to help out with our vision. (Our aim is to bring different members of the body of Christ together) with all our different skills and strengths to build the farm up and help it grow into a Christ centred Community in Coffee bay.

Mandys and Colins son William Buchan is also on his way (being born in December around the 25th 2017), William Buchan is too a part of the Missions camp and Vision of the farm. Our Family is being sent out from our amazing home Church run by Louis Els and Edna Els and the eldership at Victory Church. We will be working alongside missions teams in coffee bay to show the community Love in the area.

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm and missions camp Coffee bay.  A place of fellowship all centred in Christ’s Love.
