My name is Cheyenne. And I'd like to start out with saying thank you for your interest in my story and helping me acheive my goals. Animals are my passion and before I start my sanctuary, I'm trying to gain as much experience as possible to make sure I'm ready!
I was recently accepted into the Veterniary Service program through Loop Abroad. I would be at Feracare Wildlife Centre outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. I would be there for 2 weeks volunteering at Feracare. It is a college course so I would be taking “ABCs of African Big Cats: Anatomy, Behavior, and Conservation” taught by a DVM right alongside the cats themselves. As part of the program, if the need arises, I will also be assisting in veterniary procedures on the resident cheetahs. Having this hands-on experience is vital to having the experience I need to open my own sanctuary later on.
All money raised will help me pay for my tuition, $3,850, as well as my roundtrip flights to New York, which varies anywhere from $300 to $550. And also my flight from New York to South Africa which is about $1,500. I will also need to purchase travel insurance.
I wouldn't be able to thank you enough for you help! Even if as much as you can do is share this page, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you for your help and support of my dreams!
