Hi friends and family! As many of you already know, I was very fortunate to be accepted into a global mental health program in Bali, Indonesia for a month this coming September! Mental health and helping others are my biggest passions, and my future career goal. I wish to emphasize on global mental health so I can effectively help anyone from any background or ethnicity. I also wish to emphasize the importance of positive psychology and promoting positive mental health. I could not feel more blessed or excited to have been given this opportunity. I will be getting over 40 hours of hands on experience working with vulnerable individuals in Bali. I will be running and helping with a number of programs; from working in one of Indonesia's only psychiatric facilities, running activities with children with specific needs, helping with english development, to community outreach programs to help keep elderly residents healthy. Our main goal will be to promote positive mental health by improving self-esteem and life skills in each and every one of our unique patients. I will experience training and talks with psychologists and psychiatrists, as well as an extremely immersive cross cultural experience and an amazing education in global mental health.

It is extremely important to me to impact and help as many people as I can throughout my life. I am an extremely passionate and empathetic person, and this is just the beginning of a long life of fullfilling my dream of touching and changing the lives of as many individuals as possible. This experience in Bali will help me immensly when I further my education the following year to become a Clinical Psychologist. I will be applying to many PhD programs when I return from this trip. Many of the programs I will be applying to emphasize in global mental health.

This volunteer opportunity is not cheap, and although I will be working hard everyday for the next few months to afford it, it would mean more than you could know to help donate to my campaign. I will be making an impact everyday in Bali on individual's, and this experience will help me further my education and career to continue to help individuals everyday. Thank you so much for reading, and if you choose to donate, thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart.
