Firstly, let me start off by saying, Konnichiwa. Hajimemashite (Hello, Nice to meet you).

I found a study abroad program via CIEE and it cost money. Everything I aquire will go towards tuition, travel and getting a passport.

My whole outlook is viewing the world through a different lens; experiencing it from a new perspective. I believe through studying abroad it opens your mind and gets you to think outside the borders of the US or any country you are from.

My name is Sh'Anna. I began teaching myself Japanese since the middle of July. I've aquired a lot of knowledge over a short period of time. Aside from the language aspect, I've also begun learning about Japan's culture. Prior to me learning the language, I was already fascinated with learning more about Japan, not just the stuff found in history text books and what not,

I wanted to experience and immerse myself in the daily life and culture of Japan. I previously thought about studying abroad but I never had the funds. I was working and going to school along side my twin sister while my mom worked to keep a roof over our heads.

I never had it easy but who does? Between going from one shelter to another, sleeping in my moms vehicles, and not knowing where my next meal was coming from, you would think i'd go mad. Nothing was ever stable for me but because of this fact, I found the drive to do better, to be better. I realized I was more than my circumstance and enviroment.

After all, Everyone Has A Dream, Help Me Experience Mine.
