My Travel Story

by: Dena Donoho-Ruff Start Date: Oct 25, 2016 - End Date: Feb 21, 2017
I am trying to send my two children to Germany, to not only learn about the culture, but also learn to get along with each other. I HOPE to get the two of them to get a better understanding of historical monuments. I also hope they will learn some respect for how great they have it living in today’s world. My husband and I have not had a night alone since our honeymoon. We would like some quite time for ourselves (can't get any better than that). They will be going with a native German who is both kids German teacher, so I trust he won't leave them behind (the hope is real though). In all reality I think it would be a great trip for the two of them. Going to another country and learn about some of their heritage, since we are of German decent. I am very much into the genealogy and find it awesome to have my children go on a once in a lifetime trip to such a rich historical culture and ancestral past. They will be going to all sorts of places like the Olympic stadiums in both Berlin and Munich, the Brandenburg Gate(see Pics), Mymphenburg Palace, the Dachau Concentration camp, Mozart’s birthplace, the Belvedere Museum (see pics) and other amazing monuments in history and also in architecture. If they do this and complete an online course, they will get three college credits (and a step closer of getting out of my house). This will be a super fun trip for both Ian and Shaylah!!!
