Being able to volunteer anywhere in the world where children need food, medicines, education and even a smile from someone who cares about them, is something that has caught my attention, is an experience that with luck and the help of those who may be able to collaborate I could achieve.
I'm in the middle of my professional career, which I pay for myself with a lot of effort because my country is going through a difficult situation, where every day we face many economic, social and political problems... Something that is not a secret for the rest of the world, Venezuela is currently in the news and in the international headlines for being kind of a controversial country; anyways, there are many reasons why I can't pay for my volunteer trip, mainly because of how expensive life has became here. However, I won't give up on my dream and I hope to achieve it, to grow even more as a person, to be better in my university career, that is based on interpersonal relationships and research, being able to live with children and adults from different cultures, even if it's just for a couple of weeks, learn from them as much as they can learn from me; it would help me to motivate a lot of people to follow my steps, make them leave their mark on the world and make them feel that their lives worth it, that would make me incredible happy.
What motivates me to do my volunteer work is to be able to make many children happy because knowing that daily thousands of children go to bed hungry, or maybe very sick and without a proper medical treatment, even without feeling loved or that they have a purpose in life is something that breaks my heart, this one is going to be my first experience of international volunteering of many others that I will surely plan because I refuse to think that my passing through this life will not leave a positive mark on the hearts of a lot of people.
I will choose between the programs I already have, according to the amount of money that I would be able to raise, my main goal is the Social Volunteer Program in Morocco, also I am very interested in the Latin American programs that are a little less expensive. The program specifies everything, which includes and which not, I hope to raise enough money to afford the trip, to buy a bus ticket to the frontier of a nearby country because the situation of my country is so critical that we don't even have the possibility to take an international flight, when I arrive the country that might be Brasil or Colombia I'll take a flight to Morocco.
