My Travel Story

This year my school is taking an educational trip to China.  I am so excited to travel with my friends and classmates from Cleveland high School in Reseda, CA and see the amazing sights that China has to offer. Here are some of the places I am most excited to experience:

·         The Great Wall
·         Terracotta Warriors
·         Summer Palace
·         Forbidden City
·         Yu Yuan Garden

 I am currently maintaining all A’s and B’s in my honors classes, a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, working on my Eagle Scout Boy Scout project and actively involved in the Model United Nations team at my high school.   I am not sure what I want to do as a career yet, but I am ceratin it will be something helping those in less  fortunate have better lives. 

 In early 2016, I fundraised for six months to be able to travel to Japan for 8 days with my then 8th grade middle school MUN team.  I was just 13 years old then and it was very exciting.   Traveling to Japan and representing United States, my school, my family and myself was the most amazing experience.   I had the opportunity to discuss world issues, meet fellow MUN members for all over the world and see the amazing sites of Japan.   Being able to travel so far from home made the world seem much smaller.   To fundraise for that trip I tutored, held yard sales, washed cars, collected recycling, gave donation request speeches at local organization meetings and received donations from family members.   (The pictures on my profile are of me in Japan) 

One year later I have the opportunity to travel to another amazing country, however I am finding it "much" harder to get local businesses, family members and friends to donate.  Therefore, I am reaching out to other organizations and people that might be willing to help me ge to China.  I have been searching the internet daily for sponsors and donors, but as you can imagine it is hard to get people to sponsor personal travel, even educational travel for a student. 

 I know that I am going to learn so much during this trip to China! To attend, I need to maintain certain academic requirements outlined by my parents and personally work to raise a portion of the cost.  I will be washing cars, walking dogs, pet sitting, doing yard work and selling candy.  I need to raise $3400. Would you please help me reach this goal by sponsoring my trip in any dollar amount? All contributions are appreciated and bring me closer to China.    Your dollars will not be wasted.
