Hello everybody, my name is Caleb Cox and I will be a freshmen in the Fall of 2017 at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. While at Texas Tech, I will be enrolled in the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering, one of the top engineering colleges in the nation and the top engineering college in the state of Texas. As a student in the engineering college, all undergraduates are required to have an international experience of 6-8 weeks. This requirement can be accomplished through study, internship, research or service. Personally, I have chosen to intern abroad and my first choice is London, England. London is one of the best locations around the globe to intern at for engineering students, and not to mention it is an English-speaking location. Not only is it a top tier destination for the engineering internship aspect of my trip, but it is also one of the most fascinating places of the world! There's no shortage of events to attend, attractions to see or history to learn. London truly is one-of-a-kind and it is a dream of mine to visit and further my experience, knowledge and leadership of engineering. While in London, I would work a normal 9 to 5 workday at the host company that chooses me, continuously learning and growing as an individual and future engineer; but after my workday is over, I am free to roam the streets of London and experience the once in a lifetime opportuinity that is London. Please help me achieve this dream of mine! Every dollar helps! Thanks!
