My Travel Story

I will be travelling to the Iwokrama forest in Guyana in June 2018 for four weeks with Operation Wallacea. While there I will be assisting in surveys on forest structures and various wildlife in order to identify the impact of selective logging. I will have the opportunity to assist in camera trapping of jaguars, amphibian surveys as well as spend three days on the Burro Burro river surveying river otters and other wildlife. This trip will be an excellent experience for the career I am pursuing in forestry conservation and will be an excellent addition to Grad school applications.
