My Travel Story

For those of you who may not know me personally, my name is Nick, and I have been wanting to backpack around the world more than anything (in the world) for a long time now.
I enjoy experiencing other cultures, learning about them and sharing my own experiences with others from these various cultures. Living in the Bay Area there has it's benefits of being so diverse, yet there are limits to being in a single community rather than the origins of these cultural practices and views.
I love learning and teaching languages. It is clearly the best way to do so, by being immersed in the language.
I feel that I have never belonged in just one location my entire life. I hope to work around various places around the world, but I need to start before I can progress.
I have been dying to do this and always come into road blocks.

    Mount Roraima
    Located on the border of Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil lies Mount Roraima. Not much to say about this except "WOW".

    Now to work my way up and around Brazil! I have friends in Brazil as well, so it will be nice to visit and have someone show me around all of the cool sights and spots in the city. Working my way from São Paulo up to Rio de Janeiro, I plan to visit the famous Copa Cabana beach. If I'm being honest, I'm not a huge fan of the crowds... but I sure do love beaches! And if there is one thing that is synonymous with Rio, it's Christ the Redeemer. I need to take the Instagram selfie of me at the top with the statue, otherwise my entire trip will be a waste.... ;P
    Lastly, and I think what I am most excited to see, is the Lençóis Maranheses National Park in Maranhão. I just want to slide down the sand and frolic in the water pockets! The sight of it alone makes me feel like a kid excited to play in the sprinklers.
