Expedition to the Himalayas
My Travel Story
My name is Kajus Pakenas and I am a 16 year old student from Pembrokeshire. It has always been my dream to travel to Asia, and now, Pembrokeshire College has given me an incredible opportunity to go on an expedition to the Indian Himalayas. On this expedition, other students and I will trek through the Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh, and not only take in the wonderful culture and scenery, but also visit remote and impoverished communities and help them by building greenhouses. I am very excited for this trip, because not only will I be living out a life-long dream, but also helping rural communities and gaining valuable life skills. This expedition will help me become a better and more rounded person, and help me give back to society. I need funding to be able to purchase equipment for the expedition and to be able to pay the fees set out by Pembrokeshire College. All support will be greatly appreciated.
