Amazing trip to Cambodia!
My Travel Story
Hello everyone! We are a young generation of biologists from Moscow, 8 members of the club "Young researchers of nature" (YRN). Our club exists more than 20 years and gives the chance to school students to carry out independent researches, to participate in scientific conferences, and the most important, to visit various unique natural corners of Russia and beyond its limits. During its existence, YRN has conducted about 100 field practices and expeditions, including in remote regions: Altai, Tuva, Russian far East, Mongolia. And this is not a complete list.
Three years ago several children from our club were lucky enough to visit the amazing country-kingdom Cambodia. Now they are already students of the biological departament of MSU. Their stories about tropical forests, amazing animals and plants, have kindled in our younger generation a great desire to look at all this with our own eyes. We dream of dive into the secrets of the tropical forest and getting to know their inhabitants. We are ready to be accompanied by the head of the club and the guide, our compatriot, herpetologist, who spent many years in this country and is fluent in Khmer. And we would very much like to get to know the eastern culture, the life of people who live there, admire the architecture of ancient temples, overgrown with jungles and, of course, taste delicacies of Khmer cuisine! We will be able to make a lot of beautiful photos, shoot a video about the trip, collect scientific material, get a lot of experience and, of course, develop our naturalistic outlook, which is very necessary for us in future professional activities.
