My Travel Story

I am a healthy woman, but as for so many people, it hasn't alwas been like that.

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2005. The diagnosis came with the scheduling for surgery. Always inspired I focused on the absolute necessity to become healthy. Luckily I found a different doctor who entertained some of my personal believes and without invasive treatments he said a few years ago: "you are one of the healthiest women I know".

In 2008 my late mother was diagnosed with cancer. It was so different to the the loving third party. The feeling of helplessness was overwhelming. What could I do? http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Sonja-Lang

Why? The most important word throughout my life and in particular then.
Everything has a cause and effect, a connection. Why did I live and my mother passed?

An article in the German magazine GEO in June 2013 on yoga and a picture of gen activity print of cancer patients before and after a study (daily yoga, walks and vegetarian diet) of California University started an intense journey for me.

Already October - December 2013 I went to India and studied yoga which includes breathing, meditation, anatomy and diet in the traditional setting of an ashram.
I learnt so much about the traditional tools of yoga to create physical and mental health. I combine it with modern science which in itself studies meditation, yoga and breathing as this way some people I speak to find easier to embrace.

Now I was accepted to complete an even more intensive training in India, Coimbatore:

5 months
4.30 am - 9.30 pm
7 days a week for 21 weeks
The breaks are the 2 meals per day

I am excited as well as respectful of the task at hand. I just know this in depth knowledge and experience will help me to be even better in inspiring and helping others to live a happy and healthy life.

As the during this time I will be cut off from most of the outside world, I will start a blog (step by step) after I return. All you donors  will be welcome to follow my experience and changes then. I also will create an e-book, which I will send to the donors and supporters.
All in time for your new years resolutions for 2017 :)

Please help me to become better in understanding more interdependencies of mind, body and spirit and to share this in an easier accessible format with you.

Thank you & Namaste
Sonja
