I am so excited to have been accepted to study Shakepeare in London this summer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts!
Shakespeare holds a special place in my heart, having grown up in Ashland, OR, which is home to the Tony award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival. I’ve been onstage for many years so I am experienced as a performer, costumer, run crew, and director.

I decided to pursue this program in London for multiple reasons. First and foremost, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts is a very well known and highly respected school all over the world. I knew that any training I could get here would be second to none.

If I am going to study Shakespeare, I want to do it in the very place where he was born and raised. Why not get as close to the source as you can? Additionally, I am very eager to develop a closer relationship to the country my mother was born in, and my grandmother and her family grew up in. I have heard stories about the joys and magic of London, and of London’s theatre scene my whole life, and when presented with this opportunity I just couldn’t pass it up.

I am very serious about having a career in theatre, and am so glad there is this opportunity to work not only with outstanding instructors, but with a peer group just as committed as I am. This amazing opportunity will allow for the exploration of London and the chance to see a variety of professional productions. There really is no substitue for watching professionals work and then taking what you’ve seen into your next rehearsal.

I look forward to the amazing training, and the amazing experience that will come with this program!
Thank you so much for your help in making this dream a reality.

Thank you so much! I've officially made my down payment for my tuition, one step closer to getting to London! I can't thank you all enough. I've been out of town doing some film work recently, so these donations are really helping me reach my goal as I save up money on my own. Please share and donate if you can, and once again, thank you.
    With graditude,
