I am an amateur photographer who has never journeyed out into the world like this solo. I just got divorced, from my best friend, and I haven't been able to take a break from work to process, or heal. This roadtrip across 6+ states is my journey. My heart and soul are calling me to leave this safe place where I have family, friends and a stable job to drive for thousands of miles, camp in the wilderness, explore trails, and most importantly....have SO much time alone to really cope with my loss and explore what the world has in store for me in the future. Every person needs to do things for themselves in order to really grow, and this is it for me. This is that thing. My novel. My journey. My Unicorn. My saving grace.

• Yosemite National Park
• Lake Tahoe
• Redwood National Park
• Crater Lake

All of these places are some of the most beautiful places in the world. And I'm hoping to take gorgeous photographs at all of them! I am saving every free penny I have, but I still need help if I'm going to meet my deadline!! :-)

The final piece of this puzzle is a book. I will be creating a book from this journey. This has been my dream for as long as I've been taking photos, which is over 15 years. I have never really worked to take it to another level. There were always people around me who were finding their photographic niche (weddings, sports, etc.), and that just isn't me. I have always loved nature. Wildlife, Animals, Trees, Plants, Mountains, Plains, Skies, Rivers. And everything in between. The book will be a collection of photos from this trip, and perhaps some notations of my journey along the way. I am settling on details about the book and what I want to present in it, but for every person that donates to my cause and is willing to help me create this experience and bright future, there will be a specific photograph in the book dedicated to you. Specifically with you in mind. I will also print it out for you, so you can have a copy up on your wall. I wish I could offer more, because by donating you will be giving me SO much more. But hopefully this long novel is enough incentive! ;-)
