An amazing opportunity lies on my horizons; a once in a lifetime expedition  to the exotic Indonesian islands.
Providing I can fundraise this trip, in 2017 I will undertake a two week trip to Indonesia, spending one week in the rainforests of Baton completing wildlife conservation, then one week in the marine zones on the Wakatobi National Park doing marine conservation and diving.
This trip offers a great opportunity to open my eyes to the world of nature and travel; being in high school and having this opportunity is not something that most get, so I will strive to make the most of it. It will provide vital experience for my future as many universities and employers look for candidates with first hand life experience.
Working in the Indonesian community will help to develop my cultural understanding and experiencing new cultures fascinates me, and the Indonesian life interests me which is why this particular expedition appealed to me.
I will complete this trip along with other students as part of the Operation Wallacea Organisation.
This trip is an opportunity of a lifetime and will broaden my perspective and develop me as a person.
