My Travel Story

by: Tim Geisel Start Date: Jun 17, 2016 - End Date: Nov 3, 2016
I want to build a tiny house (similar to the one pictured) to take around the world volunteering in every country I visit. I would like to start my journey in Ecuador and bring supplies to help out with the earthquake relief and volunteer where I can. I'd continue through Costa Rica, Peru, Belize, Brazil and Argentina volunteering at conservations and orphanges.

After volunteering in South America for about 6 months to a year, I'd take my tiny house over to South Africa and work there, slowly moving my way up towards Kenya volunteering at conservations and orphnages for another 6+ months, eventually moving again to Australia. There I would travel from Perth to Brisbane volunteering at conservations and farms along the way.

After another 6 months, I'd like to head up to Thailand and teach English for a few more months.

I would love my tiny house built out of donations, whether that be cash to help built it or materials to build it with. And of course any suuplies to help out with the relief and orphanges. The house will be built by recycled material for the majority of it to keep costs down and made to go off grid since I'll be travelling to many 3rd world countries. I'm hoping the cost of the tiny house won't exceed $15,000 and then anything above and beyond that would go towards the volunteer programs, emergency supplies and travelling costs.

This trip is set at about 2 years but may always extend based on need in the locations. After that... I may just keep going. Please don't feel like you need to donate a lot... $5 is more than acceptable but I'm willing to take all the help you can offer.
