My Travel Story

My name is Katelyn and I have been offered the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Prague, Czechia. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit Europe, and through my university I may be able to. A few months ago, I began looking at study abroad programs that would satisfy the last six credits of my major. Once I came across the Prague program, I could not stop dreaming about it. Personally, this trip is special to me because my family genealogy has strong roots in Czechia. I am hoping to explore where my ancestors once lived and learn their culture. This program offers the opportunity to work in a foreign country's business enviroment, which I believe will help me grow professionally. The seven week trip includes the final two courses of my major, as well as an internship at a Czech business that is similar to what I will be doing once I graduate. After I return from this summer study abroad, I will be able to graduate  and use my experience abroad to make an impact on my local business community. However, the college achievement plan I am enrolled in is only paying a portion of my tuition and I need to find a way to cover the remainder. I have applied for several grants, and wait anxiously to hear back. Prayers, travel advice, well wishes, anything will help immensely.     Wow! Less than 60 days before I leave for my dream trip. It's all becoming real and I'm terrified/excited/anxious/thankful. I've started my orientation process and I interview for internships tomorrow. Thank you so much for reading/sharing/donating. Your support means everything.
