My Travel Story

by: Ciara Trunnell Start Date: Oct 16, 2017 - End Date: Apr 15, 2018
I will be traveling to Ireland for roughly 2 weeks in May of 2018. The entire cost of this trip will be roughly around $4,600. I will be studying sustainability for my Quest 3 requirement for my degree at the Univeristy of Wisconsin Oshkosh. This will impact my education by not only giving me the opportunity to study abroad, but also to teach myself more about sustainability and volunteer work in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I will make a difference in the community by helping to volunteer in Ballyvaughan, which is a small village on the west coast of ireland. I will be staying at the famous Trinity College in Dublin as well. This program will check off my Quest 3 requirement, as well as give me 6 English credits to apply to my degree. I chose this program because not only will it allow me travel abroad like I've always dreamed of doing (if you know me personally, you know my passion for traveling) and also further my education in an instituion outside of UWO. If you can donate, it would be greatly appreciated! Any funds raised will go towards paying for flight, tuition, lodging, etc. None of this will benefit for my personal spending money. However, if you'd like something from Ireland, you can donate or give me money personally and we can work it out to get you something! Thank you so much!
