My Travel Story

Ever since I can remember my passion for dance has been what keeps me in awe when I see a performance. Watching dancers living their emotions through movement is a way of breathing that deeply resonates with me.

I'm 25 years old and although many would discourage my desires, I'm dreaming of putting all my energy into studying ballet intensely for the next years to come. I dream of ballet obsessively, craving to be able to one day move in the way my body aches to .

There are so many reasons why I didn't study dance more intensely growing up. Although I was a part of many school plays and dance projects, my parents didn't support and listen to my dreams. I hold a sense of embarrassment because being from NYC there are so many wonderful opportunities for low income first generation children like me to study dance but my parents were too busy with their own abusive relationship to ever really guide and stand behind supporting my dancer dreams.

Now that I have the time to think for myself, being in my own space I've been thinking about what it is I truly want to do if I have the freedom to choose. If I could dedicate my life to developing my dancing skills over the next years and beyond, that would be my priority.

If you feel moved to fund my late blooming ballerina dreams, I'm forever grateful. Thank you.
