Hi there, everyone! As some of you may already know, my name is Kelsee and I am a sophomore at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Marketing with a concentration on Digital and Integrated Marketing Communications. I am here today, raising money so I can spend this summer taking classes in Rome, Italy to satisfy credits towards my certificate in International Business.

Studying abroad is something I have been looking forward to do since I started my college career in 2015, but I don’t have the funds for it quite yet. This is a truly incredible experience and I would appreciate any and all contributions you might offer! But why should you donate money to me? Like... who cares, right? Well, let me try to give you at least a couple reasons to consider it.

This is way out of my comfort zone—in a good way
Those of you who know me, know that I am typically not one to take many risks; for the most part I’m an introvert that loves routine. I am happy with these aspects of myself, but I want to do more. Since I graduated high school, I made a promise/challenge to myself that I would my push my boundaries.

My first step was moving into a different city for college, which doesn’t seem like a lot to some people, but to me it was a really big freaking deal. I quickly learned that stepping a little bit out of your comfort zone has a ton of benefits. Suddenly talking to new people was easier and doing things like skydiving seemed more fun (which it totally was by the way).

My next step in reaching this goal is studying abroad. I have never really been out of the country and never had the privilege to immerse myself in a completely new culture. I truly believe that experiencing different countries first hand is valuable for personal growth and that I will be able to view the world in a new way after doing so.

I want to keep striving to be the best I can be, this is just the next step in many more to come.

This is an AMAZING educational opportunity for me
I have recently started to pursue a certificate in International Business and studying abroad is a requirement for this. I aspire to work in a marketing department of an international business and it is important for me to gain this type of experience. I will be taking two global classes, one in International Business Managment and one in Italian culture over the course of this program. This is one of those amazing (and sometimes rare) moments where I am actually extatic for class and homework!

Rome is a beautiful city with so much to offer
I chose to go to Rome, Italy very mindfully and I couldn’t be more excited about my descision. I did have a wide range of options, but Rome truly stood out amongst the rest.

First of all, Rome has outstanding architecture from thousands of years worth of design and innovation. Rome also contains a vast amount of historically significant art which is especially special to me because of my passion for the fine arts and design. By going on this trip, I would be able to witness an immense amount of remarkable masterpieces in person, a truly life changing experience.

Rome is also a fun and exciting city with good food and wine, friendly people and beautiful landscapes. Additionally, it has many neighboring cities such as Naples, Florence, Pisa and Venice—all places I will be able to travel to on the weekends. I really want to make this opportunity all it can be by exploring as many new places as possible while abroad, and Rome is a great starting point for that!

I could go on all day talking about how excited and passionate about being able to go on this trip. For any of you who would like to take me up on that offer, please feel free to reach out to me via text, call social media or email!

Why I need your help…
My goal is to fund the majority of this trip myself. I have been working hard as the Marketing Coordinator at ASU's Sun Devil Fitness Complex and eating a lot of Ramen Noodles in order to pay for this program. Additionally, I am in the process of launching a freelance content marketing service specifically with the purpose of funding this trip. I have and will continue to work hard to reach this goal, and in the mean time I am fundraising as well.

Here is a list of the things I need to pay for...
App Fee $50
Program Fee $6,700
Airfare $1,300
Meals $1,000
Transportation $100
Books/Supplies $100
Personal Expenses $1,000
Passport $150
Travel Clinic Screening $100
Refundable Deposit $500
Total Costs $11,000

And this Is what I have saved so far...
Unsubsidized Loan $2,000

Personal Savings $3,500
Remaining Total Needed $4,000

I am looking for your help to get me to Rome! Any contribution you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Please see the incentives on the right handside of this page as extra encouragment to donate. :)

I will be documenting my experience through an online blog to share pictures, videos and everyday experiences so you can follow me on my adventures though Italy!

Thank you for your help, or should I say–grazie per l’aiuto!
