My Travel Story

Over the span of my (almost) 19 years, I have had an overwhelming love for amimals that continues to grow. I always knew that I wanted to help them in some way and now, being graduated, I finally have the opportunity. Heres the catch, as a young, minimum wage working teenager/young adult, its very expensive. I have decided to put a hold on my college dream in order to travel to different parts of the world in volunteering with the rehabilitation of wild animals and documenting it all through my writing, starting with Sea Turtles in Bali, Indonesia. This october, I am taking my first trip through the organization, GoEco.org (https://www.goeco.org/area/volunteer-in-asia/indonesia/bali-sea-turtle-rescue), to help rescue sea turtles. As a volunteer, some of my roles may including; feeding the turtles and monotoring their health, cleaning their tanks and the sanctuary, construction work, local awareness classes, collecting data, and more. This will help get my foot in the door and better my experience, and resume. The whole trip is going to be around $2000 and that includes the project ($900), airfair (aprox. $1500), visa, and personal expenses, so anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you (:
