My Travel Story

Hi everyone!

Just to make this clear from the beginning, I'll be traveling from my own savings as long as it's possible and this is just for additional budget for transportation and accommodation and such.

My name is Tobi. I'm a 22 year old german engineer who quit his job to make a dream come true - traveling the world. Different cultures and languages have always been more interesting to me than anything else and I always found myself daydreaming about faraway places. I mean, let's be honest, who has never had the dream to leave everything behind and go out to explore the world?

 I'll start in Portugal (Porto to be exact) and travel my way through parts of europe, there's no exact route. I'll try to find some place to volunteer in every place I stay and I hope to gain all kinds of different work experiences.

I'm also going to start a blog to share everything I experience along the way and you can find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well.

  • One Month Of Traveling

    One month of traveling
    I left exactly one month ago and have travelled around in Portugal so far. I have made tons of experiences and met so many amazing people along the way. Right now I am volunteering in a hostel in Faro (in the Algarve) and I'm also looking for an opportunity to volunteer in Seville or somewhere around there. I will probably go to Spain in the first 2 weeks of October..

  • Quick Update #1

    I'm currently in the final stages of the planning process, pretty much ready to set out and good to go. My plane ticket is booked and I'm leaving for Porto on August 28.
