My Travel Story

Hello friends and family, I have been given the opportunity by my university to study British literature in Great Britain itself! This trip will be with the entire English Department and it will be in May 2018. We will travel throughout England and Wales to visit historic landmarks that are featured in the novels we will be reading to accompany the class curriculum. Among the places we are going to visit are London, Stonehenge, and Jane Austen's house just to name a few! Being in the places where the novels are set in will give new meaning to the writing, and also allow us to understand the historic setting in much more detail. This trip is an opportunity for me to cultivate my appreciation for literature and history as well as enjoy the new experience of traveling abroad.
