My Travel Story

Hello beautiful people!
My name is Michaela and I am an 18 year old college student. I am currently attending UNLV where I am studying environmental science. It has always been a dream of mine to help people and animals in any possible way. I was recently introduced to the volunteer program GIVE through school, which I applied and was accepted to. I finally have the opportunity to make my dreams a reality and go to Tanzania! Over in Tanzania I will be helping to teach children and adults the English language, I will be helping to build eco friendly school buildings out of recycled materials, as well as help to empower the women. The trip will be costly, but the funds that I raise are going not only to myself, but the people in Tanzania as well.. Maybe not directly, but it will be used to buy supplies in order to build buildings and get supplies in order to help teach the students. It will also help me to buy my necessities such as food and water and help to pay for my lodging. In the end of this three week adventure I will get the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro! I don't want anyone to feel obligated to donate, but if you can help me make my dreams come true, and help me to help others, I would be more than thankful! Every donation, no matter how bigger or little will be helping me to get closer to being in Tanzania and helping me to make a difference within the community and individual lives.
