African Adventures and University of Southampton have organised a volunteering effort to Kenya. I have been offered the amazing opportunity to be one of lucky few to make a difference in one of the most poverty stricken places in the world. Working with children from extremely underprivileged communities in Nakuru, Kenya, my group and I (student volunteers), will work with an non-governmental organisation (NGO) community project schools for two weeks.

We will be volunteering and helping in numerous roles, including delivering teaching assistance, getting involved with construction and renovation work, building new classrooms and school facilities and helping to run sports coaching sessions. In the short time we are there, we will make such a difference to the lives of children from these extremely deprived backgrounds, giving them memories that will last a lifetime and experiences that will benefit them enourmously.

This is an opportunity of a life-time which will allow me to use whatever skills I have to give back to those who truly need our help. I have the ability and passion to help others, and this is such a tremendous way I can. This is not a holiday, I am there to work and volunteer my services to the betterment of others.

Please help me so I can in-turn, help them. Thank you.

To get an idea of what I might be doing and in what ways I will be helping these inspiring children, watch this video (https://vimeo.com/155366485).
