My Travel Story

I am excited that my 8th Grade class field trip is to tour our Nation's Capital, Washington DC!    May 3rd- May 5th, I have the chance to visit landmarks, monuments, & memorials that mark historical periods of our Great Nation.  I have the chance to experience the significance of what it means to be an American, & learn how the different branches of government serve our country.  What a great opportunity, to see our American democracy at work, & be up close, around the people who are part of the due process of our legistation.  For Christmas, this year, I am asking friends & family to help make this opportunity, come true for me!

My field trip, via Hemisphere Travel, costs $1,500 per student, however, I get to pay these in installments (the cost of my plane tickets, accommodations, & food are already included in this amount).  My goal is to raise money for the next 2-installments, plus spending money & fundraising admin fees for a total of $2,100 (Please see breakdown below)
  • $300 Due 11/30- Already paid
  • $500 Due  1/18-Already Paid
  • $550 Final Payment Due 3/1
  • $100 Admin Fee 
  • $500 Spending Money
Total Amount= $2,100

    I hope the New Year is treating all of you well! I'm happy to say that my 2nd installment has been paid! Thanks to all of you for helping me out.     I Pledge of Allegiance To the Flag
    I hope everyone had a good Christmas holiday & Happy New year! Now that the holidays are over, I'm just now getting back to everyone that supported me thus far. As a fun exercise, my mom video taped me reciting the Pledge of Allegiance! I am almost at my goal to pay my 2nd installment, due Jan. 18th, for my trip to Washington D.C! For those that are still willing to contribute, there is still time; my entire campaign lasts until May. Thank you everyone who helped me out so far!
