Los que me han conocido a través de los años, saben que no soy persona de pedir, pero por primera vez recurro a todos para que nos concedan este sueño.

Mis cuatro hijos, Rafa, Betzy, Nandy y Pablo, y yo, hemos recibido la oportunidad de ir a finales de Julio, por dos semanas, a unas merecidas vacaciones a Orlando.  Estos niños son educados en el hogar y muy talentosos en diversas áreas, en particular las bellas artes y la música. Son generosos con sus talentos y amables con todo el que conocen. Merecen un viaje como este para recordar toda su vida. 

Muchos de los gastos principales están cubiertos o en proceso de ser cubiertos por otros donantes: pasajes, entradas a los parques, estadía y transportación. Sin embargo, no contamos con un ingreso familiar que nos permita cubrir gastos importantes como los de comida y gastos secundarios relacionados al viaje como artículos necesarios o esos detallitos adicionales que pudieran presentarse en el camino. Nunca hemos hecho un viaje juntos de esta magnitud así que no contamos con artículos usuales para este tipo de viaje (maletas y bultos, ropa apropiada para pasar el día en un parque, calzado resistente, botellas de agua con filtro, etc.) Estamos haciendo lo posible para minimizar los gastos y viajar lo más livianos posibles, pero aún así necesitamos ayuda. 

Somos 5 personas y en comida nada más, se puede ir bastante dinero, aún cuando vamos a cocinar en la estadía. Hemos estimado un gasto de $30 por día por persona para alimentos. 5 personas por 14 días. Esto es considerando la compra que se realizaría una vez lleguemos a Orlando más algunas comidas que realizaríamos en restaurantes en el parque. Esto nos suma a unos $2,000 que es nuestra meta mínima a alcanzar.

Cuento con más de 800 amigos en Facebook y otras redes sociales.  A muchos de ustedes, en algún momento, les he ayudado en diversas situaciones pidiendo poco o nada a cambio. Si al menos 200 nos donaran $10, nuestra meta se cumpliría fácilmente. Cualquier cantidad adicional ayudaría a aliviar aún más nuestra carga economica.

Those who have known me over the years, know that I am not a person that asks for things, but for the first time I appeal to everyone to grant us this dream. 

My four children, Rafa, Betzy, Nandy and Pablo, and I, have received the opportunity to go at the end of July, for two weeks, to a well-deserved vacation to Orlando. These children are homeschooled and very talented in various areas, particularly the fine arts and music. They are generous helping others with their talents and kind to everyone they know. They deserve a trip like this to remember their whole lives. 

Many of the main expenses are paid for or in the process of being paid for by private donors: plane tickets, tickets to the parks, lodging and transportation. However, we do not have a family income that allows us to cover important expenses such as food and secondary expenses related to the trip as necessary items or those additional things that may arise along the way. We have never taken a trip together of this magnitude so we do not have usual items for this type of trip (suitcases and backpacks, appropriate clothes to spend the day in a park, sturdy footwear, water bottles with filter, etc.) We are doing everything possible to minimize expenses and travel as light as possible, but still need help. 

We are 5 people and in food alone we could spend a lot of money, even when we plan to cook during the stay. We have estimated an expense of $30 per day per person. 5 people for 14 days. This is considering the groceries we would purchase once we get to Orlando plus some meals that we would do in restaurants in the park. This adds up to about $2,000 which is our current minimum goal. 

I have more than 800 friends on Facebook and other social networks. Many of you, at some point, I have helped in various situations asking for little or nothing in return. If at least 200 donated $10, our goal would be easily met. Any additional amount would help further alleviate our economic burden.

    Remember the Rewards!!
    If you are making donations greater than $25 you can choose “Claim Reward". There you can indicate the size of the drawing. The drawings presented are not the drawings you will receive. At some point during the month of May and June, we will be communicating with the people who selected a Reward to coordinate the commission of art. You can choose between the style of Rafael or Betzymar so that an original art is made for you. Rafael specializes more in Puerto Rican sceneries and objects. Betzymar makes human figures like "Susan", which is the character shown in this photo, or other cartoons.

    Si van a hacer donativos mayores de $25 puede hacer un “Claim Reward”. Allí les indicará el tamaño del dibujo. Los dibujos presentados no son el dibujo que recibirá. En algún momento durante el mes de mayo y junio, estaremos comunicándonos con las personas que seleccionaron un Reward para coordinar la comisión del arte. Usted podrá elegir entre el estilo de Rafael o el de Betzymar para que se realice un arte original para usted. Rafael se especializa más en estampas y objetos puertorriqueños. Betzymar realiza figuras humanas como “Susan”, que es el personaje mostrado en esta foto, u otras caricaturas.
