My Travel Story

by: Harry Gallimore Start Date: Feb 18, 2018 - End Date: Jun 17, 2018
12 weeks, 24 Countries, 25,000 Miles: Two friends from London depart for the far east

Hi, Harry here, In may 2017 after a long hard fought battle with cancer my uncle sadly passed away aged 47, however he left behind a legacy. He inspired me to each day like it might be my last and chase my goals. I'm a landscape and adventure photographer and it has taken me around Europe and to the arctic circle. However this time with the help of my friend Owen I hope to film a groundbreaking cinematic travel documentary through Europe, central Asia and south east Asia.

Hi Owen here, me and harry plan on going to university in September. We are going to dedicate the next four years plus of our lives to university and we will not have anytime or money to go travelling. Going on a life changing adventure across the world is something we have always wanted to do. Therefore, we are going to devote the next few months of our lives to try and turn our dream into a reality. We, through our day jobs, plan on raising as much as possible in the meantime whilst living on as little as possible to make this a reality. Hopefully this page can make up the rest.

We have a positive outlook on life and we intend to take full advantage of it. We want to discover lands that only seemed possible in background wallpapers, we want not just to observe other peoples ways of life but to live them as well. We are going to be trekking through some of the worlds most uninhabited locations from the jungles of Cambodia, to the mountain ranges of Afghanistan. The idea is to push ourselves out of our comfort zones in order to grow as individuals both in our work as photographers/cinematographers and as people
