My Travel Story

Hi, we're  Matt & Adele Allen,

We firmly believe that there are alternative parenting ways & you don't have to conform to what's expected. We have an all natural approach to parenting and  are reaping the benefits.

We've been heavily inspired by the amazing Sundance Family - http://www.thesundancefamily.com/

We call our parenting style "off -grid" and some key elements of it are: 
- No rigid bedtimes set  - we trust the kids to know when is the best time they want to sleep at.
- Breast milk is a great supplement, not just for infants - our 5 year old, Ulysses, can decide when he wants to stop breastfeeding.
- We believe in natural medicine and refuse modern medicine - lemon water if we have a cold & breastmilk is our cure for an eye infection!
- Being at one with nature, discovering all the different plants and for my kids to discover life through nature
- Home schooling. Education is important but  we don't think we should be pushing traditional learning on th kids at a young age. We will eventually start to home school him rather than mainstream school. 

Off-grid is moving towards self sustainability and being a bit more free range and less institutionalised.

Our ultimate goal is to become self - sufficient, the way of making that happen is by moving to Costa Rica and buying a big plot of land where we can grow food, and have access to wildlife and nature in it's natural state.

That's where we need YOUR help, we would love if you could donate any amount and help us achieve our dreams.

We want to share our knowledge of off-grid parenting and expand on our experience by fully immersing ourselves in a natural environment where we can become more self-sufficient.
We are inspired by the raw food family to create a business, home and lifestyle which can show people that they don't have to comply to the constraints of 'the system'. The money raised will fund our travel and cost of land and self-build home abroad.
