Help send Becca to train in Ghana!
My Travel Story
Thank you for visiting my campaign. Here's what it's all about:
At the start of this year I was offered an amazing opportunity: a place on a 12 week music training course in Ghana.
During this trip I will have the chance to immerse myself in an exciting culture; one entirely different to my own! With the oppertunity to spend a week at a music festival as well as regular exursions to outlying villages I will gain a fullfilling experience of Ghanaian life. Regular workshops and one to one lessons in traditional Ghanaian music and the chance to demonstrate the importance of music in western tradition will help me to develop new skills for the future and to find my place in the world of music.
I am incredibly passionate about music and find the opportunity to experience it from a whole new perspective very exciting. As the influence of music around the world has captured my imagination for many years now, it would be life changing to learn first hand about what it means to cultures so far removed from my own. It is the perfect oppertunity to grow and develop, both as a musician and as a person!
But, as you can imagine, a trip such as this is costly. I am a sixth form student and come from a disadvantaged background and so cannot possibly do this on my own. Which is why I must appeal to you for help.
Any contribution to help get me to Ghana would be welcomed by a thankful heart.
All my love,
Becca
