My Travel Story

Hi there! My name is Laura Yancey! I'm a Film Production student at Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri. I have been given the amazing and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Vienna, Austria for the spring semester of 2017! With that, comes the opportunity to travel all across Europe and see things and meet people I otherwise might never have had the chance to.

But to do any of that, I need to have the funds to help me. I've already pulled out as much as I can in loans, and while I'm currently looking through options for scholarships, my findings are coming up somewhat short.

I understand that this is cutting it quite close, seeing as my flight leaves on the 6th of January, but I am currently busting my tail trying to find ways to earn the money I need. This trip means everything to me; I've always wanted to travel and see the world, but I've never had the opportunity nor the money to do any of that. As a Film Major, it would be an absolutely indescribable opportunity to see and learn about other cultures that I may be able to use as references to look back on for any future projects I may be a part of.

I can't put into words as to how grateful I would be for any sort of help from anyone to be able to do this. I've wanted this for so long, and now that it is finally within reach, I'm sitting here shaking as I type this. It still doesn't feel real yet, and I want to make this experience something I will never forget.
