Hi! My name is Raven. I am a Navy veteran going to college for pre-med and Native American rights and studies.

Let me tell you what you are supporting. I was accepted into a short-term course program (see second picture as proof). What this course explores in Honolulu, HI is looking at the real Hawaii not how tourism portrays it, and how US Imperialism has impacted the kanaka (Native Hawaiians). My course preparation was attending the US Imperialism and Hawaii class with the teacher also leading the short term course. The students attending and teacher leading this course will be meeting with scholars and local activists. Some point during this course we will even work in the taro fields. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

This program is especially close to my heart because I am Alaska Native born and raised. I feel for them in a deeply similiar aspect being Alaska Native. This greatly helps simply by bringing awareness to their situation and supporting sovereignty within their community. I have attached a link explaining this program in more detail. This is such a worthy cause; I am so grateful I have been chosen to attend this course. Please help me make this dream a reality. I plan to use this short term course towards my bachelors and long-term for my fellow Native Alaskans create their own version of sovereignty within Alaska, following the example set forth from this experience.
