My Travel Story

This is a Sweden-based non-profit organisation called "Books to Uganda". It started only three years ago by my friend, Cecilia Söderlund. After a visit in Uganda she found out that the schools teach the children how to read, but the lack of books makes it hard for them to actually practise reading. We started to collect English children's books in 2015 and we delivered them to schools in rural areas in Uganda in February 2016. Our next trip is planned in February, 2018. This time we are not only going to deliver books, we are also visiting the schools that received our books the last time to see how evertything has worked out. We will also help them to start a library.
