My Travel Story

Hello everyone!
I am so thrilled to share my plans for next year with you all. I have decided to go to Malaysia in the month of February 2022, as I will be volunteering in Child Psychology at one the Child Welfare Org. in Malaysia.

While growing up, I always knew it in my heart that i wanted to help others. And when it finally came to my grad programme, I knew for sure, that I wanted to study Psychology and work with/for kids. Now that I have finished my grad programme, I am pursuing to volunteer at a place where I could really help the kids and assist the parents or teachers to better understand and help these kids in the best way possible. My specialisation lies in general psychology and therefore, I really look forward to work in schools as well. 

Originally, I was supposed to leave for volunteering last year but as the pandemic made it really difficult to travel in 2020, I had to keep my plans on side and wait till everything goes back to normal. I am super excited to be a part of Social Welfare Community, Malaysia. I truly believe I have the right skills to assess all the factors affecting a child’s life and provide answers and guidance to ensure the optimal growth of a child. 

It is not alone the volunteer work but I do know through some personal events in my life, that the psyche of a child is far different from that of an adult. I want to break the stereotypical, and promote the knowledge as well as the importance of child psychology among the parents and other adults. These kids they are growing up every minute, every second. Taking it from the general wellbeing of a child to behavioural swings of these children, I want to help/assist these parents provide them with the opportunity to grow and evolve.

I have the wonderful opportunity to try and help these beautiful kids, parents and teachers gain skills that could be incredibly useful to them. All money raised will go towards the costs associated with the volunteering along with the fundraising fee! Thank you so much for your time and help!
