My Travel Story

The main goal of this trip is to collaborate and co-teach with Belizean teachers!  I will get to provide professional development in literacy instruction for all administrators, teachers, and students in a school that needs our help! I will also get the opportunity learn about the Belizean education system and culture from the teachers and students with whom I get to meet and teach. This opportunity will be the grand finale to my persuit of a Master's Degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership at Oklahoma State.  I cannot wait to share my educational experience with the teachers and students in Belize.  This journey will also be shared with my teaching collegues in Broken Arrow when I return.  I plan to take and share as much supplies and educational tools possible.  Your support will really help make a different in the lives of these underpriviledged students and teachers!!

    Getting the opportunity to be paired with a teacher and classroom full of students in Belize would be amazing. Having the chance to share my teaching knowledge with the teacher and in turn learning from the teacher and students of Belize would be extremely beneficial to both parties. These teachers and kids need our HELP!!
