My Travel Story

Next year, my friend Stacey, will be celebrating her 40th birthday and for this milestone, she's decided that she wants to visit Las Vegas. I personally welcome the idea and would love to visit Las Vegas as well so I supported this decision however as the planning got underway I quickly realized that this trip is quickly slipping out of my financial range.

Plans are being made to see Britney Spears in concert, helicopter riding through the Grand Canyon and a 4 night stay in one of the most expensive hotels on the strip. Maybe to most this sounds quite achievable but not really so for me. Out of a group of 10 tentative attendees, 8 of them including Stacey live and work in the UK while I live and work in Trinidad and Tobago. These minor costs that they're accruing are actually quite significant for me since their exchange rate is can be anywhere from 8-10 times more powerful than mine.

So far they've estimated a comfortable 2000GBP for this 4 night trip which in my opinion is the value of an entire Euro tour. For this reason, I've decided to take this approach to gather funds for this trip.

Making this trip is very important to me because Stacey and her friends visit Trinidad &Tobago every year during winter and this year that tradition is going to be broken in order to go to Las Vegas instead. She's asked us all to join her and of course she would understand if I simply said that I couldn't make it due to financial constraints but I do feel bad not being able to make it to something so important to her.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance in attending this trip. I do belive in paying it forward and will definitely return this kindness to others in similar positions as I believe that traveling is one of the things in life that makes you feel like you're actually living. Thank you for reading. Sorry it's a bit long :).
