My Travel Story

Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I am entering my senior year of college. I have been given the opportunity to spend my final year of college in Australia! It has always been a dream of mine to travel to Australia. Through the exchange program (CISabroad) I will be attending La Trobe University. This trip will help me grow into a stronger person and allow me to experience a completely different culture while meeting people from all around the world. In addition to the classes I will be taking at La Trobe, I will also be able to learn many valuable life skills in a way that could simply not be replicated in my home country. Also, the benefits of not only understanding, but experiencing a different culture will widen future career paths and these experiences will stay with me for a lifetime.

I have been working very hard to secure funding for this program, yet there is still a deficit remaining, preventing me from achieving this long-held dream. While I still will be continually striving to reach this goal individually, any donations, no matter how small or large, are greatly valued and will very significantly benefit my ability to travel and pursue my dream!

I feel incredibly fortunate that I have this opportunity at this point in my life, and I believe this journey will change my perspective on life forever.
