In the art field, I am often urged to think outside of the box. It is easy to get stuck in a ritual of the same way of thinking when you're in a small town. Traveling has always left me with inspiration to help give me the nudge I need to get out of day to day habits. Rome has been the start for many incredible artists and the works of art created by them. To visit the origin of incredible masterpieces and delve into the very place that provided them with such inspiration, would be an unbelievably valuable experience. There are things I can't learn from just books alone. I want to visit the places and see the monuments that have helped shape the world.

Also, I have read numerous times how appealing a resume with studying abroad can be to future employers. Employers want well-rounded individuals with knowledge outside of their comfort zones. Studying abroad will help boost my confidence, self-sufficiency, and ensure cultural immersion. Traveling to a foreign country for five weeks could also possibly help me learn bits of a new language! The possibilities truly are endless and I would like to capitalize on the opportunity before I graduate!
