My Travel Story

My name is Amanda Tochalauski and I am a junior at Illinois State University. I am studying Mass Media, focusing on the management, promotions, and sales side. I grew up about 45 minutes away from the ISU campus in Peoria, IL. Ever since I was a little girl, i've dreamed of going to college. I was shocked when I figured out I would be able to go, becuase my family never really had money for much. When I started to think about what I wanted to do... where I wanted to go, the only think I knew for certian is that I wanted to see the world. There's so much beauty on this planet that I have yet to explore. This summer, I hope be studying abroad in the Netherlands at Hanze University in Groningen, however, I cannot go unless I find a way to fund it. I have a bit saved up but not NEARLY enough. Being able to go on this trip is a once in a life time experience for me. I'll be able to learn so much. I'll be able to tell my friends and family what a different part of the world is like. I'll be able to experience a different way of life. All in all, this trip is a dream for me... and I really hope to make it a reality. Thank you.
