Hello! In case you somehow didn't know, my name is Katherine but my friends call me Kat. I am a currently a first year veterinary student at St. George's University, with an interest in small animal medicine and exotics. I have been given an amazing opportunity this upcoming summer, the opportunity to travel to South Africa and work with wildlife Vets.

This opportunity will give me the chance to learn hands-on handling techniques for animals when dealing with dangerous wildlife, during a two-week time period. It will also provide me with the opportunity to learn about several species of wildlife native to South Africa. While there, I have the possibility of helping with Rhinos, Lions, Wildebeest, and more.

This is a dream come true for someone that loves exotic animals, and I am truly excited about this chance of a lifetime. However, I am a college student surviving off student loans. I have worked out how I will pay for the program itself, but I'm working on raising fund for my airfare. Anything is appreciated and I can promise tons of pictures and stories when I come back home.

Thanks so much for your support!
-Kat. Lee
