My Travel Story

After writing an application letter and attending an interview I am really excited that I have been selected to travel to Nakuru, Kenya with my school and African Adventures on a volunteer program in July 2019.

Whilst in Kenya I will be working with a team from my school as teaching assistants and sports coaches. I strongly believe that all children have the right to have an education and I can't wait to be part of this team.

As part of the project I need to raise £2000 to fund travel and accomadation and I have lots of ideas already including a craft sale and a sponsored walk, I will add details as I go along.

I have also realised this evening that I will turn 14 whilst in Kenya!

  • Springfest 2018

    Springfest 2018
    Today Daisy and myself set up a stall in Mum's shop as it was Springfest in Cullompton. We were selling cards and photo frames we had made, knitted and crocheted items from the lovely stitch away group, held a raffle and a game. We raised just over £59! This means I have now raised around £600 so far. Big thank you to everyone who has supported us x

  • Bolham Christmas Fair

    Bolham Christmas fair
    This picture was taken at the bolham Christmas fair where I raised £27.70 from selling photo frames, hair bands and socks. I did this with my two friends who are also going to Kenya, Ella and Erin. It was great to go back to my old primary school and share what my friends and I are achieving.
