My Travel Story

by: Natalia Andrzejczak Start Date: Feb 7, 2017 - End Date: Feb 6, 2018
Ey up folks!
We are Natalie (the red-haired witch) and Giulia. We are Polish-Italian couple who met and fell in love some 2 years ago (got engaged last summer, too). We have been planning our big trip ever since! Having plenty of ups and (even more) downs here we are: Edinburgh, the capital of Whiskyland became our new home 3 months ago. We own almost nothing but some experience, beautiful memories and dreams.
First of all- we love to travel. Like, we live for travelling. Like, travelling is life! We work our asses off (hospitality, you know) so that we can go. Somewhere. Breathe in different air. Smell different things. Try. Touch. Talk to people. Get lost. See. Experience. Forget about the world.
Second thing is- we love food. Not just any food. Vegan food. We love cooking and eating so much that we have made a decision- one day in future we will have our own, world-inspired eatery. But before that happens we need a little inspiration ourselves. Curry in India, noodles in Vietnam... We wanna eat our way through Asia and do it vegan way! :)

We always travel on budget. Remember that time when we spend 2 months in Mexico for under £800 each (including flights from Europe)?
We hitchhike, we couchsurf. We shop in markets, eat delicious (and cheap) street food and sleep in cheapest hostels. We don't need much.

Some people say "you musn't do that. you're a woman".
Nope.
We are two women and hell yes we can do it!

We will certainly spend lot of time volunteering and helping out with different community projects across Asia. For every little help of yours we will help those in need too. That's how it works, right? :)

Our dream route is:
India- Bangladesh- Burma- Laos- Vietnam- Cambodia- Thailand
(*Malaysia, *Indonesia)
...and we could keep on going as long as the money lasts :)
We'd kicked off with some 3 or 4 months in India and then stop in every following country for around a month. But we are flexible, if we really like one place we'd stay there longer and could skip something else instead. We go with the flow!

India has been mine (Natalie) top of the must-go list since I bought my first National Geographic magazine featuring India. That was loooong time ago. I've never stopped dreaming about it.

To all you wonderful people out there: thanks for everything. Thanks for supporting us and our dreams. We appreciate every donation, even if we don't make it to the full amount. Your help is more than everything.
