My Travel Story

Hello reader,
I'm Celeste, 16, and living in the Philippines. I'm in 10th Grade studying at San Jose National High School under the Science Technology and Engineering Program of the Department of Education. I've been at the top of my class since 7th Grade.
Recently, the Basic Education Curriculum (which included only 4 years of high school, Grade 7-10) was changed to K-12 (which continues upto Grade 12). It's only been two years. This made my studies "globally competative" as they say. So after visting the US for the first time, I've decided to try and convince my parents to let me study there. I already have relatives there and other than the fact that my parents are protective of me, the only thing I need to finally convince them is a scholarship. It really hard to find scholarships for high school students but here I am trying to get someone to fund my travel. The dream is Stanford. That's my goal for now and this will open up that oppurtunity. Thank you for your time.
