My Travel Story

I'm going off to Ireland for 5 months in my junior year of high school as both an educational and cultural trip. I plan to visit all art and historical museums as well as local landmarks to get an actual feel of Ireland versus a tourist's view. Having grown up in a close knitted and small town, I'm hoping this trip will allow me to experience and learn from a new culture. I will come back from Ireland with all new experiences and I can use them in my local Youth Commission and I will have the ability to change my community around me. Ireland is rich in both art and history, some of my favourite interests, and its landscapes provide me with plenty of inspiration for painting. After seeing some Irish art, especially that which featured its landscapes, and reading Irish literature, I was immediately drawn to the country.
