Hello, my name is Marie Schol and I am currently a 4th year in Industrial Engineering. To give a bit of a background, I am a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student,  and the lead structural welder on the Cal Poly Rose Float program. We build a parade float for the Pasadena tournament of roses; the only student-built float.

This study abroad program will be such an amazing opportunity for me to gain insight and knowledge into the field that I am studying while immersing myself into a new culture! This opportunity will help me get a feel of what it would be like in the real world and expand the possibilities of where I could work in the future. If you have even just a dollar to spare, it would mean so much to me! I even have an Etsy store where you can purchase jewelry, crochet projects, and other crafts! Thank you for your patronage :)

Currently, the CP Rose Float team has finished another successful year of building a float for the Rose Bowl parade. This year's float was called "A New Leaf", and it won us the Founder's Trophy (most beautiful self-built float). While we are taking down that float, we look forward to the upcoming year.
